Welcome to Lake Health Care Center in Eustis, FL!

At Lake Health Care Center in Eustis, we offer chiropractic care, podiatry services, acupuncture, and massage therapy in an effort to provide a continuum of care for all of our patients. Nutritional counseling and wellness coaching are also provided, as we believe in taking care of the whole person in order to live a better life.

Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Jim Glisson

Although retired from the practice, Dr. Glisson is the proud founder of Lake Health Care Center. He began the center in 1963, starting off as Glisson Clinic and later becoming Lake Health Care Center. He and his wife Flora settled down in Eustis in 1963 after Dr. Glisson completed Chiropractic College at the Palmer College of Chiropractic. 

Dr. Victor M. Torres

Dr. Torres joined the practice at Lake Health Care Center in 2000 after moving from Orlando. He is currently a Board Certified Diplomate American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and received his podiatric training at the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. He served in the United States Navy, and he is a staff member at Florida Hospital Waterman. He practices general podiatry, and is a wound care specialist for surgery, foot, and ankle wellness.

Dr. James S. Fernandes

Being at Lake Health Care Center since 1999, Dr. Fernandez began practicing in 1992 after earning a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He participated in a fellowship for the American Cancer Society, doing research on methods to better treat cancer patients.

Dr. John F. Heiligenthal Jr. 

Dr. Heiligenthal, Jr. has been practicing at Lake Health Care Center for more than 20 years. He received his chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1992. He furthered his studies to get a Master's Degree in nutrition, and is a certified acupuncturist.

We treat a wide range of conditions at Lake Health Care Center. We work to get to root cause of your pain and stiffness, and look for ways to promote healing naturally.
